A website needs a clear reason to visit and a useful next step. An internal tool needs to make a real task easier to complete. The design and the behaviour belong together.
Start with the demanding part: an opening, a customer action or a small working feature. Review it with real content before extending the site or application.
Private website examples show the design and interactions. Your website, hosting, checkout and live systems still need their own checks.
A clear path through the work
Agree what visitors should understand and do. Retain a suitable existing platform when it serves the task.
Resolve the design, content and critical interaction before multiplying pages or features.
Review narrow and wide layouts, keyboard access, motion alternatives and the agreed customer journey. Handover includes editable source.
Provisional service fees in GBP. We are not registered for UK VAT and do not add UK VAT. Required third-party costs depend on the agreed tools and use; each offer explains the calculation. Your written quote confirms the total or calculation before you commit. Open an offer to see the work, inputs, limits and acceptance checks before adding it to your brief.
A live site requires suitable hosting and usually a domain; enquiry delivery requires a supported mail/form route. Calculate the chosen hosting and mail plans + domain registration/renewal. Existing suitable services may cover these. Paid imagery is optional and approved before purchase. No UK VAT is added.
A live site requires hosting and a domain; sending enquiries requires a supported mail/form route. Calculate selected plans + domain registration/renewal. A CMS plan is required only if the agreed design uses one. Paid assets are optional. The quote identifies required services and renewal costs. No UK VAT is added.
A live shop requires a platform, domain and payment provider. Calculate platform/domain charges + any required app plans + each transaction’s fixed fee and percentage of its value at the chosen provider’s rates. Optional apps need approval. Rates and assumptions are stated before agreement. No UK VAT is added.
Required hosting, database, authentication and integrations depend on the agreed app. Calculate plan fees + billable storage, users, executions or API units × provider rates. The quote states required services, volume assumptions and optional additions. No UK VAT is added.
Start with the action you need someone to complete. A landing page focuses on one primary contact or enquiry action. The business website offer covers up to five agreed pages and navigation. A small app is quoted around a defined workflow, users and permissions. The choice follows the task and content, rather than the number of features you could add.
Yes, a suitable existing platform can be retained when it serves the agreed customer action. We first need to understand the current site, content, required access and intended changes. Retaining a platform does not establish that every integration or feature is supported. Hosting, domain, CMS and form requirements still need to be identified in the scope.
Bring approved copy, your brand assets and images you have permission to use, together with a clear customer action. A business site also needs a responsible enquiry owner and access to retained systems. Large migrations and unlimited copywriting are outside the standard scope. If those are needed, identify them before the written quote is agreed.
A preview demonstrates the design and interactions, but the live customer journey needs separate checks. Hosting, a domain and a supported form or mail route must be established where required. The agreed enquiry destination needs an actual delivery check. The written scope should distinguish building the site from provider charges, public deployment and any custom backend.
The scoped shop needs checks of its products, cart, permitted sandbox checkout, cancellation or failure paths and order handover. You supply the product information, fulfilment details, policies and merchant-owned accounts. Platform, domain, required apps and payment fees remain separate. A working page or payment return screen alone does not establish the agreed buying journey.
The offer states deliverables, inputs, revisions and acceptance checks, so you can assess the work against an agreed brief and handover.
