Notes and documents are useful when you can find them, understand where they came from and keep them current. Start with the information your work depends on.
The right scope might be a personal Obsidian setup, a small internal assistant or a more complete Brain system. Each needs its own access, update and recovery checks.
Your system uses only information you own or have permission to use. Access rules, privacy and installation checks are agreed for your project.
A clear path through the work
Agree the documents, notes and questions that matter. Identify ownership, access and anything that must stay outside the system.
Shape navigation, templates and connections around actual tasks. Make updates understandable to the person who owns the system.
Try agreed questions and everyday tasks. Check unsupported answers, conflicting sources, updates and the recovery path.
Provisional service fees in GBP. We are not registered for UK VAT and do not add UK VAT. Required third-party costs depend on the agreed tools and use; each offer explains the calculation. Your written quote confirms the total or calculation before you commit. Open an offer to see the work, inputs, limits and acceptance checks before adding it to your brief.
The stated setup can use local files without Sync, Publish or an AI subscription. Those additions are optional and priced at the provider’s chosen plan; storage beyond your existing device is agreed separately. No UK VAT is added.
Operation requires a model/runtime and a place to store and retrieve information. Costs are calculated from the selected hosting plan, stored data and model/API units used × the provider’s rate. Existing suitable accounts may cover part of this. Required services and limits must be priced in the written quote. No UK VAT is added.
Operation requires agreed hosting or a suitable local device, storage and backup; model use depends on the design. Calculate recurring plans + stored/backup data × storage rate + model units × model rate. Optional software is separate. The quote must identify what is required and who pays. No UK VAT is added.
Start with what you need to do. A personal note setup helps you organise and navigate your own material. A knowledge assistant adds a scoped way to ask questions over an agreed document set. A broader Brain system needs its own retrieval, update and recovery work. We agree the smallest useful scope before recommending a build.
Yes. Start with a small, permitted sample and explain what you want to keep, find or change. We agree the folder, import or document scope before work begins. Bulk migration and unrestricted ingestion are not assumed. If material has access restrictions or belongs to someone else, those boundaries need to be clear first.
Agree practical checks around your own task. A personal vault can be checked by finding, adding and linking notes. An assistant needs example questions, supporting sources and a way to flag unsupported answers. A broader system also needs update, access and recovery checks. A polished demonstration alone does not establish that your setup works.
The personalised Obsidian offer is a note structure, useful templates, navigation and handover. Hosted sync, custom memory software and multi-user access controls are outside that scope. Optional software, storage and AI subscriptions are separate. If you need those features, describe them in the enquiry so the written scope can identify the required tools and costs.
The knowledge offers need an owner for the information and its updates. The agreed handover explains the relevant update process; a broader Brain scope also includes recovery checks. An unattended service is not assumed. Before agreeing the project, decide who maintains the sources, which changes matter and whether any separately agreed care is needed.
The scope distinguishes organised notes, an assistant pilot and a broader system, with permitted sources and practical find, update and recovery checks.
